Blogging?? Me??

I have been flirting with the idea of blogging for several weeks and finally decided to take the plunge. Although I have nothing profound to say I am excited about using my blog to document the bigger moments in our lives. Adam and I live a very quiet, common, uneventful life....and that is just the way I like it! However, recently our quiet little life got a surprise! A BIG one...or at least it was a BIG surprise to us. We were shocked to discover that we are expecting our first baby. Having a baby was one of those topics we rarely discussed because, according to us, that was still a few years away. I truly believe that things happen in God's time and not our own...this little discovery slapped me in the face and reminded me that I am not in charge of my life, but He is. I recently read that the things that matter most come along in their own time, not necessarily when you're ready. That statement really spoke to me because although we were not planning for a baby right now we feel incredibly blessed to be bringing a baby into the world!
